Making a difference, early

I return to Frostbite Engine again, but on a team where utilizing the latest technology was possible. Without an annual cycle like FIFA did, we were able to take on larger risk features. It was exciting to join a project in early production, where processes can be improved greatly and have great impact. I was tasked with taking ownership of the cinematic pipeline and improve upon it. Much of that will take shape in the form of additional tools to allow the cinematic designers to preview changes more easily.

Additionally, I implemented tools that allow lighting artists and art directors to review changes quicker. This is taking shape in the form of the fighter comparison tool. A 3 camera tool, where the user can load multiple fighters and venues side by side for comparison. This tool also has functioning debug view modes.

With the fidelity of UFC fighters set to such a high bar, the minute differences are what sets the next iteration apart. Tools such as the fighter comparison tool will make the iteration time for the content creators much shorter and without as much guess work.
